My ipod touch 5th generation says I have to connect to itunes. When I do, itunes says it has detected an error and I need to restore. After I restore, it gives me the same message. I can't do anything it just shows the usb port plug and the itunes symbol on my screen.

First, what is the wording of the error message?
Maybe:
Restore loop (being prompted to restore again after a restore successfully completes)

Next try placing in DFU mode and then restoring.

Last, try restoring on another computer.
the message is the following:
itunes has detected an ipod in recovery mode. you must restore this ipod before it can be used with itunes.
I do the restore and get the same message.

I tried several times but did not go into DFU mode. Could it be because the battery may be low?

I'm having the same issue. Everytime I connect it to iTunes it begins to "restore" and update to my current version of iTunes, but afterwards it says it had a problem restoring. HEEEELP PLEAAASE.
