How to deal with invisible files

I am creating presentations in Keynote and then exporting them as JPG files to a USB which I then insert into a TV to create a rolling presentation at work. This works fine except that there is a small invisible file created for each image that are not visible on the mac but show up in the slide show on the tv. I have tried using the terminal to show invisibles. When I do that, it shows invisible files which have a "." prefix. This does not show these files which have a "._" prefix. I am able to delete these files by saving to the USB and then using a PC to show the files, but I would obviously like to skip that step. Any ideas?
