App updates....

I have iphone4 and ipad3. I haven't been able to get the updates for any of my apps lately. I have ios6.0.1, so the software on my phone and ipad is up to date. I've been connected to wifi. I use verizon. I've tried getting the updates through my computer, but I keep getting the following error:

Is there something that apple is updating that I haven't heard about? Why can't I get the updates? Anyone have ideas or know what's going on?
