where from you have this Mac that you have user and password... ?
Connect charger to computer and power, connect the computer to Internet - better use cable and wait few days - some info may pop-up automatically
Got MacBook air from a friend with no info about it and I'm new to apple so I'm lost. Can't get a hold of him to get username and password
don't know where to go from here. I was told to hold command+s but it keeps going to a screen with a big lock on it. What do I do or did I get ripped
It might be that you have firmware password protection on your Mac - so you'd better contact your friend for the password.
So if he avoids me I got ripped or is there something else i can do or someone that can help me?
to it sounds more like you bought, most probably stolen, device on a street...
Only Apple can unlock it.
Looks as though the MacBook Air's legitimate owner has had the last laugh.
