I set up a new folder for an email sender and now my emails are not able to use the rules that I set up. What can I do to enable them again.
iMac (21.5-inch Mid 2011), Mac OS X (10.7.5)
Adding a mailbox should not change rule operation. Can you post an example of one of the rules?
I don't seem to be able to copy a rule, but, this is how one rulel displays.
Name of Rule is Richard Cryar.
If any of the following conditions are met:
From contains rcryar@auduboncapital
Move message to Richard Cryar mailbox
Not only does this rule not work, but all emails are going into the new box I created and not to the inbox.
Rules are evaluated in the order in which they appear in Preferences/Rules, and evaluation will stop when a rule moves the message to a mailbox. So if an early rule is moving stuff to your new mailbox, later rules aren't going to have a chance to do anything.
