Mountain Lion AirPlay Delay

Hi All,

I've seen a few discussions around this topic, but none with a concrete solution (I'm not positive if there is one, even). Currently, I have my Mac Mini set up to output audio to my Airport Express via AirPlay (the Mini is hardwired to the AE). When watching a video, on YouTube, Netflix, etc., there is at least a 2 second delay between the audio and the video. I've heard that this 2 second delay is built into the AirPlay protocol, but I was wondering if there is a way around it.
