It sounds like to me that Apple has worked out a way that the data service providers can increase your usage of the cellular network to increase your bill which undoubtably has resulted in kickbacks. It is pretty crafty and I'm sure most people won't even notice. What really blows my mind is that they have people saying that it is to save battery life. I can't imagine that the ammount of suppossedly saved battery life is even messurable. Reeks of a scam to me.

You have no idea what you're talking about semolnole. If the phone had to maintain an active WiFi connection at all times, your standby battery life would be measured in hours in the single digits. Actively transmitting data over the WiFi radio does consume more power, but maintaining the idle connection requires far more power than the cellular connection, which is always present.

i sell my iPhone 5 and i buy a iPhone 4s running on iOS 5.1.1,

the things is, iOS 6 iOS 5 both are disconnecting when phone is locked or in sleep mode, but on iOS 5 i receive notifications, such as viber, facetime, iMessage, mail, but on iOS 6, i cant receive notification to what iOS 5 receive, unless i wake the phone, i think this is not a features coz if this is a features, facetime, iMessage & Mail that are auto build in apple will be useless and other apps from the developer,
