Are you a PAL or NTSC user?

Did the camera shoot 12 or 16 bit audio?

Is the footage 4:3 or 16:9 aspect ratio?

These may seem like dumb questions but it will help us to advise which Easy Setup to use.

Thank you Al:

NTSC, 12 bit audio, 16.9

Curiously, I went back to Imovie and I was able to make it work. After the one hour playing it, there was a choice "Import". After rewinding, I pressed Import and it saw the few frames on the area for editing! Now I am not sure whether it transferred or copied to my hard drive for editing....

My first choice is to use the final cut express. thanks.

FCE>Easy Setup>DV NTSC Anamorphic.

This is the Easy Setup you should select then save a New Project and then import over firewire.

Only New Projects are affected by changes to the Easy Setup.

Easy Setup and incoming footage need to match.

To check:

Right click the Sequence icon in the Browser and select Item Properties.
