web sharing from mac to pc via firewire?

Hello,

I'm trying to share my internet connection from my mac to my pc via firewire cable. I've tried to search forum but I've found only settings for sharing from pc to mac and I'm lost.

I've no idea, what and how I should set on both computers. Mac is running Tiger 10.4.6, pc win XP. Now pc sees the firewire connection, sending some packets and in MacOS prefs -> Network -> network status I've finally managed to make the firewire light green.

I've found some settings on web so I used them:
Mac:
TCP/IP - manually
IP address: 10.0.1.7
Subnet mask: 255.255.255.0
Router: 10.0.1.1

pc:
manual TDP/IP
IP Address: 10.0.1.5
Subnetmask: 255.255.255.0
Gate: 10.0.1.1

Is it wrong? What should I do next? I simply want to have interenet connection available on both computers, and browse the web on pc when Mac is on and I don't want to use any hub/router, just firewire cable.

Thank you very much for your answers and recommendations
