iOS 6.0.1 iPhone 4S Personal HotSpot Works FINE With USB Cable, FAILED Without It

Just another day with another problem looking for solutions, anybody out there that's facing personal hotspot issues ? I've upgraded to the latest iOS which is the 6.0.1 version and launched personal hotspot through USB cable connecting the MacBook Pro, works like a charm. But then, went personal hotspot using WiFi ( since personal hotspot uses the carriers cellular data, in advanced i've deleted all active WiFi networks connectivity ) having done so, devices were able to detect the iPhone's name for the personal hotspot and prompt enter password, access granted but NO internet. Tried it with an iPod, MacBook and also a Sony Xperia S, frustration started. From troubleshooting personal hotspot, system requirements, wireless carrier support & feature and all the resolution that's available on the web just seems not to be helping. Is there anyone experiencing the same similar issue...
