Will my PowerPC apps. still run OK with OSX 10.6
I'm currently using OSX 10.5.8 and PowerPC apps are running OK. Will they still run OK with OSX 10.6?

PowerPC programs work properly in Mac OS X Snow Leopard, so you can upgrade without issues
As Mende1 mentioned they will be OK however you should immediately begin rebuilding your app library to bring it up-to-date. You won't be able to stay on outdated apps forever so the longer you wait the more painful it will be to migrate. Apps that can run as Intel based apps you can easily upgrade and those that were never developed beyond PPC based apps should be left behind so you can start looking for their replacements and buying those as you can. Your hardware will eventually fail and when you buy a new Mac it will ONLY run the latest version of OS X so begin changing now as time and finances permit. If you wait until the hardware fails it will be much more difficult.
I'm 62 years old and I've been using Macs since 1990. I think it's more likely that I'll fail before my iMac does. But thanks for your advice.
Heck I'm 58 and just got another new iMac. If you're in good health (and I hope you are) you should far outlast your iMac.
At any rate, best of luck to you.
Cheers! I wish you good health too. I've had my present iMac since 2008 and it's still going strong. Wish I could say the same for myself!
Thanks for your help. It's put my mind at rest.
