Macbook pro 2010

I have a Macbook Pro 7.1 2010, IPhoto dissapeared one day after being reloaded from my App DVD Driver. When we click on the app says you need to change this to the new version, but the new version costs $14.99 is this necessary?

Why can't I use my original version that my Macbook Pro came with we were happy with it I we don't need the new improved version Help..

Thanks to all God Bless Go Missions

MacBook Pro, Mac OS X (10.7.1)

Since you have upgraded OS X the version of iPhoto you now use is, I assume, no longer compatible. You need to upgrade to the newest version or return to Snow Leopard.

The current version of iPhoto requires 10.7.5 or later, so you will also need to update your system to 10.7.5 by installing the OS X Lion Update 10.7.5 (Client Combo) and OS X Lion 10.7.5 Supplemental Update.
