Anyone get a "support" call from Wash., DC co. that asks for remote access? I denied of course . Asked me to go to www.support.me

I asked if they were from Apple..."no", afilliated..."no, we offer tech support for mac.". I was suspicious, so I went along....They said tehy were calling to solve errors on my mac. I said no errors, not running slowly, etc. I'm sure it was a scam, and I refused to allow them remote access to my computer. I wanted to post this as a warning to others.

MacBook Pro, Mac OS X (10.7.3), new mcbk pro os x 10.7.3,What next

That scam has been running for almost a year. They used to claim to be from Microsoft but apparently Macs are starting to get too popular so they have changed strategy.
