Just test drove the ipad mini for a few weeks and now wish to sell my ipad3 to a friend ...how do I ensure I have all the data from witihin various aps transfered to my new mini? Thnx in advance

Make a backup on itunes, and resotre the iPad mini from that backup when you set it up.

Thanx Phil...ALL data will be transfered? Curious because when setting it up at apple store I had the ipad with me ....rep suggested NOt to do a restore of old Ipad at the time??? planned on keeping both originaly ...things changed.

Everything should be restored to the mini, as it was on the iPad 3. You can also perform an icloud backup and restore from there.
