Why isn't my Time Machine backing up during power nap?

I have a MBP-13in Retina and a Time Capsule. I have the Time Capsule connected wirelessly to my existing wifi connection and I am trying to back up my laptop while in powernap wirelessly.

AT&T Wireless Router/Modem (wifi source for all of my devices) ----- Wirelessly Connected to Time Capsule ------- Wirelessly connected to MBP.

I was told that because of the set up, I may find problems with power nap backups...

Backup works wirelessly while computer is running, but not while in power nap. Any suggestions?
