Q: how do I upgrade to Lion, I have not yet upgraded to snow leopard?

I have not yet upgraded my mac to snow leopard, but am wanting to upgrade straight to Lion. Is this possible, and can I do this online?

iMac, Mac OS X (10.5.8)

It's not possible to upgrade to Lion directly; the online Apple Store sells Mac OS X 10.6 DVDs, and download codes for Lion are available by phoning them.

Snow Leopard requires an Intel Mac. Lion requires that it has a Core 2 Duo or better CPU and at least 2GB RAM.
