can iphones be tracked if it's stolen?
Can my iphone be tracked if stolen with out the find my iphone app?

The find my iphone app is for finding other registered devices using your iphone. it has nothing at all to do with finding the phone on which it is installed.
Find my iphone is a built in feature, no app needed. If you set up find my iphone in settings on your iphone itself and it is on, and it has not been restored then you may be able to track from icloud.
Othrewise you cannot track it.
