GPS Icon always ON with Significant Location Services

My app uses significant location services. Since the GPS icon is constantly stays ON, users are under impression that it is draining their battery and uninstall the app. Is there a workaround? If not, is apple working on introducing something, possibly different color, for significant location services icon?
