Q: Connecting Apple TV

Still unsure how to connect Apple TV - have connected the HDMI cable via Apple TV to digital TV - then what? Do not have an external wireless network. Use mobile broadband wireless directly into a MacBook Pro USB port - do not have a home wireless system

MacBook Pro, OS X Mountain Lion (10.8.2)

    only option is to make your macbook share the wifi network adhoc and then the atv will only work when the macbook pro is on

     

    I maybe old fashioned but I would make sure the product worked in my setup before I bought it

    Thanks - absolutely make sure the product works first. I will try that approach or work out a home wireless system to assist. I did assume that all apple products work together with the OS - a little niaive!
