Macbook Pro Sleep Error

I need to know what to do with my mac. When I first received it I had no issues but after about 3 months use, I began seeing problems. After letting my mac fall asleep, when I attempt to wake it up the screen will momentarily light up rendering the cursor visible and the keyboard will proceed to light up as well. Every time a key is clicked after that the error tone will persist. The only way to get out of this "freeze" is to manually shut off the computer and turn it on again. However, the next time it goes to sleep it will proceed to do the same thing. What is wrong? What do I do?

Make a "Genius" appointment at an Apple Store to have the machine tested.

Back up all data on the internal drive(s) before you hand over your computer to anyone. If privacy is a concern, erase the data partition(s) with the option to write zeros* (do this only if you have at least two complete, independent backups, and you know how to restore to bare metal from any of them.) Don’t erase the recovery partition, if present.

*An SSD doesn't need to be zeroed.
