Nov 22, 2012 12:49 AM in response to NeonStixby Malignance,Mulititasking on an iOS device is more like a pause feature that allows you to switch apps quickly and pickup where you left off. Most app don't actually stay running. Here's how Apple describes it from their support page on the subjuct.
"Double-clicking the Home button displays a list of recently used apps. These apps are not necessarily actively in use, open, or taking up system resources. They will instantly launch when you return to them. Certain tasks or services can continue to run in the background."
You can read the whole article here > http://support.apple.com/kb/HT4211
Hope that helps clear things up.

Nov 22, 2012 9:54 AM in response to Malignanceby NeonStix,I understand what you're saying, but that sort of isn't my problem.
Facebook, WhatsApp, Skype, those are the apps that are supposed to stay open in the background. Yet for some odd reason they don't.
Not to mention I don't even recieve push notifications from Facebook either.
