- Do you mean iTunes (songs you've puchased from the iTunes Store)? That really depends on whether the Archos can play AAC files (the format iTunes Store purchases are in). You should read the manual for your Archos.
- Do you mean songs you've imported into iTunes from other sources, such as CD? Once again, that depends on which format they are in. Read your Archos manual.

I'm guessing you actually mean the iTunes Store app, such as found on the iPad.
Let's be clear on this...
- The iPad has an app for the iTunes Store. It does not - as far as I know - have "iTunes" the programme on it.
- The iPad uses iOS as it's Operating System - it's what makes it work. (Notice the O and the S. Combined with the i, what does that suggest to you?)
- Tablets use Android as its operating system - it's as different from iOS as Windows, Mac or Linux are to each other.
- Every App, or programme, has to be specially written or modified for each different operating system. Since that involves a lot of work, not all programmes are written for every operating system. All that effort has to be worth it to the programme writers.
- So (without second-guessing Apple's intentions) that's why you cannot download iTunes (neither the programme nor the Store app) onto a tablet.
It's as different as a car is from a motorbike. They're both motor vehicles, but you cannot squeeze a car down a path that's just wide enough for a bike, can you?
