Transfering books from my computer to my iPad works fine. However, whenever i want to change a book's title or author, my iTunes will show it correctly on my computer, but my iPad never displays the changes.
It works for my music though. If I try to change a song's title on my computer's iTunes, my ipad will sync the change as well. But not for my iBooks. Anyone else have this problem?

Yes same here - it has been an ongoing problem with iBook for a while.
The only way I have found to update the information is to unsync all books through itunes and then sync them back to the ipad. You shouldn't lose any of your data associated with bookmarks etc doing this.
iBook doesn't update books info for title/author/category
