Within the past month, I noticed that I am having a problem with my copy and paste function on my IMAC. I have an intel based IMAC with the Mac OS 10.5.8 running. Is there anyone experiencing this problem? Any assistance, recommendations?
iMac, Mac OS X (10.5.8)
Copy = Command-C
Paste = Command -V
What message of problem do you encounter when you use either of those?

thanks for the response. I am familiar with the keyboard short cuts of Command C and Command V for Copy and Paste. I have used the IMAC since 2007. The specific problem is I can use Command C or the Edit Copy from the menu bar. It is when you go to paste from the clipboard (the area where all copies are stored in the interim). It is not allowing to paste. The Menu bar has the paste functions greyed out. In fact, trying to drag a file from my desktop of from one foldet to another in finder does not work either.

Go to Home/Library/Preferences and delete the file com.apple.finder.plist
Now repair permissions (takes quite a while in Leopard).
When finished, reboot you Mac.

I did as suggested by deleting the file com.apple.finder.plist, then did a repair permission using Disk Utility and rebooted. The problem persists and am still not able to copy or paste

Thanks for the assistance. It turns out there was a virus blocking my cut and paste capabilities. As soon as I started to run the program, the functionality returned.
