I have recently clean installed windows 8 pro on to my laptop and destop. I triedinstalling safari 5.1.7 in the usual way by downloaing the software and then double cliclking to start the installation process. Nothing happened so I repeated the double click on the setup package again nothing happened.
Has anyone had a similar situation? If so how did you get passed it.

Ram, I know you posted this a few months ago, but I installed Windows 8 Pro today and had the same problem. You have to install Icloud 2.1.1 for Windows first. Once installed you can install Itunes, Safari, and Quicktime. Todd
Is safari 5.1.7 for windows compatible with windows 8?
