can I use OS 10.6 on MacBookAir 2.13GH 2011?

I need Rosetta but my old white MacBook is dying. I am hoping to replace it with a 2.13GHz, 2011 MadBook Air now running Lion. Can reformate the Air disk to run 10.6?

"MacBook Air 4,x and later can't run Snow Leopard, while 3,x and earlier with at least 1 GB of RAM can run Snow Leopard."

early 2011 MBA is MacBookAir4.1 or 4.2 (depending on screen size, so you're out of luck there.

If you have a Mac OS X thumbdrive specific to that Mac model, connect it, restart from the thumbdrive, erase the internal drive, and install an OS. If not, use another Mac to install Mac OS X 10.6.8 onto an external drive, either from a DVD or by cloning the MacBook's system, move that drive to the MacBook Air, and try starting that computer from it. If doing so only yields three beeps, no.
