Can't get setup to run; PC says "The app can't run on your PC." Tried to change properties to run in WIn7 and XP compatibility; same message. Any ideas? thx

Stop trying until Apple releases a version of iTunes that is supported on Windows 8.
I too had this question concerning final release of Windows 8. Maybe Apple should take Windows 8 off the compatibility listing on the download page? It would seem that if they haven't released a version of iTunes that is supported on Windows 8, it shouldn't be listed.
When the OP posted, there was not a version of iTunes supported on Windows 8.
Since then, iTunes 11 has been released and it is supported on Windows 8.

I have tried downloading iTunes 11 and have had the same error message as those trying to download iTunes 10 for Windows 8. While I can't exactly afford to get the machine that I want right now to go along with my iPad and iPhone, I am really missing my iTunes and the new Windows 8 is making things really hard for people on many different levels with this new operating system.
