Finder is not responding

Question

Finder is not responding

The finder on my granddaughter's MacbookPro will not respond. It wil not open. I probably need to delete pls? file in the library. Quetion, how do get to the library file if finder will not open?

I-Mac, Mac OS X (10.5.6)

Have you tried force quitting Finder (command-option-escape)? It will relauch after you force quit it.

If force quitting Finder does not work you can simply force restart by holding down power button.

What version of OS is running on granddaughter's MBP?

After it restarts it would not hurt to repair permissions.

Make sure all software is latest version.
