i have an old i phone 3s and was using it as an ipod. at the last update i got got a message saying there is no sim card in the phone. i do not want it to be a phone anymore. however the device has a locked screen saying it has no SIM card. how do i get b

i have an old i phone 3s and was using it as an ipod. at the last update i got got a message saying there is no sim card in the phone. i do not want it to be a phone anymore. however the device has a locked screen saying it has no SIM card. how do i get back to unlocking the iphone and using it as an ipod again.
