How sure you are that the cable and SuperDrive are in working order?
Have you checked on another computer?
It is the cable that comes with the super drive. I just used it this past weekend and it worked fine. Can I attach it to a non mac computer?
yes, you can connect it to PC and it should show up.
It may not work properly so do not try to force any discs into it.
Just check if this shows up in My Comupter and then disconnect.
Please report
yes it shows up.
When you connect it to your MBA you say it does nothing.
In fact there is nothing to be done when you just connect it.
Have you tried any DVDs or CDs inside?
To make the superdrive shows up
on the menubar
Finder > Preferences > General tab > check DVDs
Please report back.
thanks- it finally recognized the cd I was trying to insert. thanks!
