My purchased itunes movies are GONE....Is there any way to retrieve them? If not .....this is FRAUD....please get on this APPLE...i've read several discussions with no real answer...again...this is FRAUD if you have removed PURCHASED movies.

apparently you cannot 'download past purchases' on my version of the operating system (10.4.1)
my movies were residing on my hard drive until very recently, i went to open my movie files this evening and they were gone....
what's next? are all of my songs going to disappear as well?
i haven't upgraded my software because i *was* planning on purchasing the newest macbook pro when it came out this fall...
i would like to have an explanation as to how and why my movie files disappeared....if i am no longer able to download (why should i have to do that AGAIN?) to this operating system, then as far as i am concerned apple will owe me replacements when i get my new machine...

Not if you do the basics. Alway maintain a backup copy.

i can FIND the movies on my HARD DRIVE....(searching by title) i didn't ask how to find them on my hard drive....
i cannot open it with ITUNES... they are no longer on the list of purchased movie
why is that?
Mine were gone too. However, when I went to: >iTunes >Preferences >Store then check the "Show iTunes in the Cloud purchases" they showed up in My Movies again. I hope this solved your issues.

I'm having exact same issue and I concur it being FRAUD... I have purchased 4 movies in the past for my daughter and I only have one showing now. Neither can I find my audio books.

You've checked to see if you've hidden them from the cloud : Hide and unhide iTunes Store, App Store, or iBooks Store purchases - Apple Support ?
Items no longer in the store, or bought when in a different country, won't show for redownloading, you will have to copy them back from your backup of your downloads/library that you've been keeping and maintaining.
I'm having the same issue. With the last IOS update several of my purchased movies were removed from the purchased list.

yes I checked that. These are items I used the digital code from the physical copy of the disc to add them to iTunes. Guradians of the Galaxy frozen and various others are gone. When I find them in the iTunes store it wants me to repurchase them.
If they aren't hidden, and you are using the same account (and yo haven't moved countries), it's possible that the rights-holder has removed those versions from your country's store - you will have to copy them back from your backup
