Remote app works with iphone but not ipad 2.

I have my apple tv connected to the same network as my ipad 2 and iphone. The iphone will connect to the tv and work fine. The ipad 2 will not. I've tried everything I can think of to resolve the problem. The ipad 2 at one time was able to connect, then just suddenly stopped. I've restored the ipad 2 to factory settings and still nothing. I've ***'d the apple tv. No answer. I've ***'d the ipad 2. No answer. Anyone got any ideas?
