Delete apps not found in the application's file

I downloaded apps on my Mac, and I deleted and removed from my Mac 10.5.7. But I noticed they are still in my Mac and available in the Bar line on the desktop. When I'm searching for them through the spotlight I couldn't find them! So,is there any way to find them??

Thank you,

HI,

IF you downloaded and Installed an app it would normally be placed in the Applications Folder.

If you then drag that app to the DOCK then an icon and link is placed in the DOCK.

Sometimes some apps do this for you (they should really ask but sometimes they don't)

IF you delete the app the icon in the DOCK is not always removed.

If you Deleted by Dragging the app to the Trash then this certainly will not remove the DOCK item as the OS sees it as a "move".

If you did delete the app by whatever method it will be deleted and Spotlight will not find it.

You may want to get Appzapper to clear any odd parts of the apps you have deleted.
