Lion+Pages+iCloud?

Hey guys, just wondering at this simple question; may I (with a Lion Macbook Pro (10.7.5)) sync and use my Pages' iCloud-function with my Mac, and share to my brand new iPad mini?

Why I'm asking is because I think I've read earlier that Mountain Lion is required to use the iCloud function for Pages. At this point I do not have Mountain Lion, and I don't intend to buy it either actually.
