Standard MBP or rMBP??
I thoughtI was all set for a new addition to my business with a 15" retina MBP. However after reading a ton of posts on mostly other Mac type forums, it appears there is a lot of unhappy consumers who purchased the retina MBP. Putting the latest version of Mountain Lion aside, I am now not sure what would be the best machine at this point. I wish people could feel more open to state their opinions from personal expereince even if they have not had the best expereince with the rMBP. I would like to know what some of the issues are that are causing problems with the rMBP from people who have been through the bad as well as the good sides of this machine.
Actually I just recently learned that the rMBP does not come with the SuperDrive installed. the other options are to get an external drive and some people told me to use duct-tape to attach the drive to the rMBP. Not sure why duct-tape but a USB cable should be fine.
anybody know if the rMBP can use the thunderbolt port speakers? what can the thunderbolt port be used for, especially since they have 2 USB 3.0 ports?
I am looking for a personal recommendation on outstanding speakers to hook up to the MBP that I do chose to purchase. I realize speakers can be a personal choice, but I would still like some feedback from people who have been overly satisfied with the speakers they have purchased.
thanks.
