how do i get the previous website names shown in the tab bar?

I had been getting a history of websites I visited as I was working; shown in the tab bar. Now I can only get 2 !! I must have changed a SAFARI preference but can't figure out how to get back to the history. OS 10.7.5 Safari 6.0.2.

I am using LION and I don't those options as explained in the reviews and support articles.
