How long do i have to wait to pay the early termination fee?
When i buy an iPhone 5 from Verizon, do i have to wait 30 days before i can pay the early termination fee? Or can i pay it directly?
iPad 2, iOS 6.0.1

If I read the return policy correctly it's 14 days if you want to keep the device. If you terminate the contract within 14 there is no termination fee but you have to return the device.

Hope that helps.

I don't love in the US so i wanted to ask: Do i have to open the iPhone and use it or can it stay in the box for14 days then i pay the early termination fee?
I don't live*
You should really be asking Verizon this question.

Verizon will need to activate the iPhone in order for there to be a contract to buy out so they will take it out of the box. If your not in the USA you'll need to find the policy for your country. I assume you know you can buy an iPhone with no contract for about $650.00 US.
But the $650 iPhone 5 is an unlocked iPhone and as far as i know unlocked iPhone 5s haven't came out yet. Or am i mistaken?
Solid point but I wasn't talking about an unlocked iPhone. I could be wrong but purchasing an iPhone outright gives you the option to pay month to month instead of a contract. It would still be Locked to that carrier but possibly cheaper then to buy out a contract. As I said I could be wrong. You'll have to check with Verizon.
