Hi guys,

I am a little paranoid at the moment and need some help. I have had so many people tell me Crucial memory is very good especially for my model of Mac Pro. So to make sure I am looking at the right product I contacted Crucial as I wanted some 4GB memory sticks rather than 2GB. They only did one type that fit my requirements i.e. 4GB 240 Pin, PC2-6400 DDR2 Fully Buffered.

Upon collecting my memory sticks today, ive noticed they look different to what I expected. I was assuming they would have a big heat sink type things on them (pardon my technical terminology lol) similar to this http://electricbrains.ca/wp-content/uploads/2011/11/mac-pro-ram-victoria-bc.jpg

but mine arrive looking like this: http://ecx.images-amazon.com/images/I/41ezcfssG-L._SL500_AA300_.jpg

Difference to this one is, the silver plate thing on mine is blue

So the point of my thread is, the spec i require matches the sticks i have purchased however the sticks look very much different to other mac pro memory sticks I have seen to date.

Do I need to worry? is the memory I have purchased correct? and should it perform as expected to its full potentia;?

Sorry if i sound silly but I have paid some good money and dont want them to be the wrong type

Thanks guys
