How long does it Apple take to lift that **** hold?

If you used a debit card, it's not a matter of how long it takes Apple to doanything, it's a matter of how long it takes an authorization to roll off of your bank's system if it's not finalized. It can take anywhere from a few days to a week. Ask your bank.

A merchant can not 'reverse' an authorization against a card. There is just no way to do so in the Visa/MC processing world.

If they had actually charged you, finalizing the transaction and debiting your account, they could credit it back to you, but that can also take several days for your bank to process.

I used to work in the credit transaction processing business.

Any retailer plus the bank can take a couple of days to release funds on hold for an order. You cancelled on Wednesday and Thursday is a banking holiday (at least here in the US). The release of a hold cannot be done as automatically as the placing of the hold. That is just the way banks and retail work.

It always takes longer to get your money back, thats a given. That said, i would contact the location you purchased it from and ask for them to expedite the process. And next time be more patient.
