You have to use the same ID and restore the new iPod from the backup made with the old iPod. For how to restore from backup see:

Thank you for your reply. Unfortunately, I had already restored it, however it did not restore correctly. I restarted my game instead. I believe it is because my origin id is different than my apple id and it is restarting it under my apple id. How do I log on with my origin id. I think this is probably the only way I will be able to access my game. Is there another way online to access the game I was playing on my ipod? The reference was not at all helpful. Thank you anyway.
