I just saw a couple of websites selling iBooksAuthor templates. Just wondering if there is an opportunity here in order to provide a rich collection of templates to ebook creators.

A simple google search indicates that plenty of people are already doing this, via the app store and elsewhere. Doesn't that answer your question?

Yes. Search 'iBooks author templates' in the Mac App Store (computer, not iPad store) and there are a few templates bundles available. I've got a couple, free nd paid, and they're pretty good!
