Mirroring is bring up flashing and Strobing

I'm using a 2011 Mini with Mountain Lion and an ATV II, both wired into the network ad when i mirror from Mini to ATV all i get is stroning and flashing.

Any ideas why this might be?

Normal mirroring from iPad and iPhone is fine. The ATV works fine on its own....
