Am considering purchasing the iPhone 5, and specifically want to use the Facetime feature. I live in very rural area but a cell booster will get me up to "3 bars". Will Facetime work ok?

As of now FaceTime only works on wifi.
FaceTime also works on a 3G network if using an iPhone 4S or iPhone 5
FaceTime in iPhone 5 can work through 3G or 4G cellular network.
Do you have 3G or 4G coverage in your area?
I have 3 G I think, it shows up as "EDGE" on the AT&T phones I have tried. These were not the iPhone5.
EDGE it's not 3G and it's too slow for FaceTime.

AT&T only supports FaceTime over wifi at the moment, doesn't matter if it's LTE 3G or EDGE
So the only way is Wi-Fi.
If you have 3g coverage you can use Skype for Video Calls.
I used a Blackberry to test out the coverage in our rural area. It could also work on 3G networks.
Thank you. I thought AT&T was going to open up Facetime very soon for cellular data plans.
They have; you have to have the shared data plan and as pointed out a 4s or 5 iPhone. jcobas10 is incorrect.
