Import Problems

I recently bought a SDHC card reader so that I could import my pictures without attaching my Nikon D5100 camera to the computer. When I used the card reader for the first time it would not download to Aperture. I tried a different SDHC reader and it worked fine but the first card reader still shows in the import dropdown area. Every time I select "import" it tries to find the drive that isn't there. I tried to delete it but can't. Any Ideas? Thanks
