I have a spreadsheet file written in Open Office called list.ods. I use the first column to list all my passwords, credit card numbers, and user names and passwords.

I usually find it by tying "list" into Spolight. I click on the list.ods file name and Spotlight gives me a dialog box saying

"Item LIST.ods is used by Mac OS and can't be opened".

When I repeat the process and click on list.ods it usually opens the second time.

I understand there are hidden and system files with protected names, but this one is an open office spreadsheet with .ods on the end, and it opens the second time.

Anyone know what's going on?
