To whom it may concern:

Why doesn't my Imac, 27 inch, mid 2011 accept Final Cut Pro 6?  I just recenlty bought my Imac and can load up final cut pro 6.  I get a message on the desktop saying it doesn't support it.

What app do I need to make it possible for me to load?

Final Cut Pro 6, Mac OS X (10.7.5)

    Hi reg,

If you have an old Snow Leopard install disc, you need to install Rossetta from the extras folder, you will then be able to install FCP6. That is if you are running Lion,as your profile suggests.

If you are running 10.7 you should be able to install Rosetta from a 10.6 install disc. Rosetta is needed because the Final Cut pro installer is PPC based. If you are running 10.8 your chances are very slim. Your best option is to run it under 10.6.
