Push disabled in Germany by court ruling: Server profile mgr also, or just email?

Hi,

Am trying without much success to push out profile configurations from my Mac OS X Server (mini 2012, mountain lion server) to an enrolled MacBookPro and an iPad2.

The Macbook receives the profiles only when I have a VPN connection between it and the server. The iPad never receives them, VPN or not.

All appears good from the certificate side of things, I managed to install self-signed certs on the Macbook and the iPad. VPN is also good.

Some time ago a german court forced Apple to turn off push notifications in Germany (due to a patent dispute with Motorola). The press reports about this only mention email service push notifications. But could it be that profile manager push notifications are also affected ?
