I'm plugging a Fender Telecaster through an M-Audio FastTrack. On my audio preferences the audio works perfectly and it receives the input as I play the instrument. But on GarageBand it doesn't. I can't find a way out, I tried everything I could find on the web. GarageBand version is GarageBand '09 version 5.1 (398)

Going to the preferences was the first thing i did:) it doesn't matter what the options are. I tried every combination (of course the first one was: Input:Fast Track Output: Macbook) but the audio still isn't received by GarageBand
it may help if you tell us all the things you have tried, then, so we might figure out what you missed (rather than guessing)
I first Uninstalled the Audio Track Driver and Reinstalled it. Nothing CHanged. I changed the audio preferences of my macbook pro half 2009 (input:Fast Track output:built-in) and everything seems to work. I changed audio preferences of GarageBand but i can get no sound for my input. ps. I'm sorry in there's any grammar error but I'm from Italy and i'm trying to do my best to be clear
have you set the input source (in the Track Info pane) to the same channel you're using on the FastTrack?
(P.S. you're grammar is better than many here who claim to be native speakers)
I had it set on Mono 1 and it didn't work. Now that i've set it to Mono 2 It works. Thank you very much for your help:)
