While I was back in the states

I have a European, unlocked IPhone. While I was back in the states I transferd my ITunes to another computer. After doing so my phone ITunes notified me of an update, so I updated it. I think this locked my phone. I tried to restore the phone but still have no service. I live in Italy and nerest Mac store is over an hour away, The techs my not speek english, and hours are unpredictable. If there is a way to fix this myself, well that would be best.
