No longe able to scan after upgrading to 10.6

Upgraded to 10.6.8 about a year ago from Tiger and can no longer scan with my Canon MP600 received when first purchased my iMac. Able to print but not scan. Any suggestions?

iMac, Mac OS X (10.6.8)
